The agreement on visa-free regime between Kazakhstan and China will enter into force on November 10 this year, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.

“The agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China, signed on May 17, 2023 in Xi’an (PRC), comes into force on November 10, 2023,” the press service said, distributed on Friday.

The Foreign Ministry noted that according to article 1 of this agreement, citizens of the two countries are exempt from visa requirements “for the purposes of private affairs, tourism, medical treatment, international transportation, transit, as well as business purposes.”

“At the same time, the period of stay of citizens on the territory of the two states should not exceed 30 calendar days from the moment of crossing the state border, and a total of 90 calendar days within 180 calendar days,” the press service said.

They also said that if you need to stay in the country for more than 30 days, you will need to issue an entry visa of the appropriate category in advance.

Visa-free regime does not give the right to employment, study and missionary activity, the press service added.
