Thailand extended the period of visa-free stay of Russians up to 60 days, the extension will cost Russian citizens $51. This is reported by Interfax with reference to the Consulate General of Russia in Phuket.

“By order of the Head of the Immigration Service of Thailand, a new procedure for extending the period of temporary stay in the kingdom for Russian citizens has been introduced since September 30, 2023. From this date, Russian citizens who arrived in Thailand on a 30-day visa—free stamp can extend their stay for an additional 30 days,” the message says.

Previously, an extension was only possible for 7 days.

According to the management of the Department of the immigration service of Phuket province, in order to extend the period of stay, it is enough for Russians to contact the immigration service with a passport and an application. The cost of the service is 1900 baht or $51.
